About the Film
A Stranger on Earth is an independent arthouse film about the instincts, drives and desires surrounding change in our everyday lives. It intermingles elements of various genres to create a compelling poetically visual story about a young boy’s coming of age, his struggling mother’s psychological state, and the origins of a mysterious stranger who finds himself present in their world.

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Hi, I’m Jeremiah and I’m the writer/director of a new indie arthouse film entitled, A Stranger On Earth. The film is a narrative feature about the instincts, drives and desires surrounding change in our everyday lives. Or as I like to say, “all things change and we change with them.”
What does that mean you ask?
Well, the short version is that the film is based around a biblical tale as old as time.
The film tells a poetic coming of age story about a charming and industrious young boy who is mute but loves photography. His parents are split and he lives between households.
His mother, Irene, is struggling to cope psychologically as a single parent and she is in a constant battle with his Father. Irene desperately desires a change. This is where the biblical story comes in. When you desire something strong enough, the universe has a mysterious way of providing the opportunity.
In Irene’s case, this is a man shot with arrows of light, found in a field, resembling a saint. Is this her answer? Maybe, but this mysterious man has to find his place in all this confusion and maybe he isn’t who she wants him to be. And how does he relate to the young boy? And what does the father think about this new and strange man?
I don’t want to give away the whole story here as I want you to stay tuned. I want you to help me finish it, get it out there and enjoy it.
I have been working on this film for the last 6 years. Trying to bring this poetic story to light. Passion has kept it alive. There have been many obstacles and this is the final hurdle.
Let me update you on what’s already been done. The film has been shot. It has been edited and is in the final stages of post-production. We are trying to ready it for delivery and distribution. While we have the heart and dedication to see this through, we need your help. We want this film to be born into the world and don’t want this story to wait any longer.
Up until now, I have been the sole financial support of this film because I believe in this project. I believe in art, and that art is special, and that it should be shared with people. People like you.
What do we need your help with?
Well, for starters, the film has a temporary soundtrack and are looking to raise additional funds to properly license the music for use in film festivals and online distribution. Then there are funds needed for insurances, legal fees, copyright, subtitling, trailer, advertising and a modest film festival run.

RISKS & CHALLENGES
This project is over 90% complete. The creative work is over, thus the majority of the risk has already diminished. The funding raised here is to bring this film directly to you and its audience. There is always some inherent risk with projects like this. Covering legal expenses, music licensing and perk fulfillment this project is sure for success. Worse case scenario is that you only get to view the film with a temporary soundtrack and enjoy some awesome perks.
